Realistic or Loose?.. Both!
This piece was a request by a friend for his girlfriend as a gift. I wan't sure how to approach the piece; should I do it really photo-realistic, or really loose and painted. If I did it really photo-realistic, she might as well just have the photo, but then again if I did the image loose, it would be difficult to convey the smooth, perfect face of Audrey.
Therefore I decided to do a mix. Audrey I painted sharp and smooth and the background I painted loose. The result in my eyes is the perfect blend.
