Because portraiture is one of my specialties, I really wanted to get a close head-shot of the killer character. The hardest thing abut this illustration was making the normally placid model appear angry.
When painting the final piece I was surprised how quickly it all came together. I enjoyed painting the details of the beard and capturing how the light was falling on the right hand side of the face.
